AFTER 2049 returns to the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark on October 9
TOKEN2049’s official closing party, AFTER 2049, returns to the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark on Friday, October 9, the night after the conference ends and the first night of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. Claptone and Crusy headline, entry needs its own ticket, and the door rules are stricter than most crypto parties. Here is how it works, plus the other parties of TOKEN2049 week that are worth the queue.
- AFTER 2049 runs from 7pm on Friday, October 9 on the 57th-floor SkyPark Observation Deck, with no guaranteed entry after 11pm and no re-entry after midnight.
- A TOKEN2049 conference ticket does not include the party; only the US$4,999 Special Access Pass guarantees entry, and everyone else buys through Megatix.
- Kraken, BloFin and KAST run the biggest unofficial nights on October 7 and 8, while several Luma listings calling themselves “Token2049 afterparty” are not run by the organiser.
- 57 floors above the Marina Bay Street Circuit, on the SkyPark Observation Deck
- US$120 party ticket price shown on the official TOKEN2049 Week listing
- 18+ with photo ID, smart casual dress, no athletic wear, shorts or flip-flops
TOKEN2049 confirmed the lineup in a September 10 release, quoting the organiser: “AFTER 2049 returns to the Marina Bay Sands rooftop for Grand Prix weekend with Claptone, 57 floors above the circuit, on the only Polygon rig in Asia this year.” The sound system is Polygon Live’s 360-degree spatial audio, which the organiser bills as exclusive to AFTER 2049 in Asia for 2026.
Lineup, venue and door rules
Claptone and Crusy headline, with ANONM, Leon (FR), Milam and Mo-Shi also on the bill, according to the Megatix event page. Doors open at 7pm at the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck (Tower 3, level 56 entrance), and the TOKEN2049 Week listing shows the party running until 6am.
The rules matter more than usual this year. Entry is not guaranteed after 11pm, there is no re-entry after midnight, guests must be 18 or older with photo ID, and the dress code is smart casual. With the Grand Prix starting the same evening, getting to Marina Bay Sands will also take longer than on a normal Friday.
How to get a ticket
AFTER 2049 is ticketed separately from the conference and sold only on Megatix. The official TOKEN2049 Week listing shows a US$120 price; Megatix released tickets in waves on September 10, September 24 and a final release on October 2. Special Access Pass holders (US$4,999) get guaranteed entry as part of their pass, according to the TOKEN2049 FAQ.
Buy only through Megatix or the link on token2049.com. Several Luma pages titled “Token2049 afterparty”, including one run by EpicConnector, are small independent events and not the official party.
The other parties worth the queue
Wednesday, October 7. Kraken Pro After Dark runs from 8pm to 2am at CÉ LA VI on top of Marina Bay Sands Tower 3, for pro traders and institutional clients (Luma). BloFin’s WHALE3RA third-anniversary party takes MARQUEE Singapore from 9pm with Swae Lee and a billed 2,000 guests (Luma). Pudgy Penguins’ Inside the Igloo at Blu Jaz is sold out with a waitlist.
Thursday, October 8. KAST’s Solid Gold party runs from 9:30pm to 1:30am at C.O.T.U Skytower, CapitaGreen levels 38 to 39, with eight DJs (Luma). TOKEN2049 also closes Day 2 with networking drinks across all stages from 6pm to 7:30pm, included with a conference ticket.
Most of these need approval on Luma, and approvals often arrive the night before. Our TOKEN2049 side events guide has the daytime summits and dinners.
The CCS read. AFTER 2049 has become the one TOKEN2049 ticket that sells on its own, which says a lot about where the week’s networking actually happens. Booking it onto Grand Prix Friday, 57 floors above the circuit, is a smart piece of scheduling that keeps the crowd in Singapore for a third night. If you only buy one extra ticket this week, this is the one; if you can’t get in, Wednesday’s rooftops at Marina Bay Sands are the next best room.
Watch the Megatix page for any last release before Friday, and leave extra time for Grand Prix traffic: road closures around Marina Centre run from October 7 to 5:30am on October 13, and taxis use designated pick-up points only. Our Singapore week guide covers transport and what else is on.
