TOKEN2049 sets first US edition for New York, June 16-17, 2027
TOKEN2049 is coming to the United States. The organiser announced on Wednesday, October 7, from the stage of TOKEN2049 Singapore that its first US edition will run in New York on June 16 and 17, 2027, with about 15,000 attendees expected and a citywide TOKEN2049 Week around it.
- TOKEN2049 New York runs June 16-17, 2027; tickets are on sale now at US$599.
- New York becomes the series’ third flagship, a permanent annual stop alongside Singapore and Dubai.
- No venue or speakers have been named yet; a citywide TOKEN2049 Week of side events is planned.
The organiser confirmed the dates in an official release published during the opening day of TOKEN2049 Singapore, shortly before Eric Trump and Zach Witkoff took the main stage. Co-founder Alex Fiskum said attendees and partners had been pushing for a US edition and that the team had been waiting for the right timing and city. “Bringing TOKEN2049 to the US has been a long time coming,” he said.
New York becomes the third flagship
TOKEN2049 has spent recent years running two flagship editions a year, Singapore in the autumn and Dubai in the spring. New York is being added as a permanent third stop rather than a one-off, which gives the series a presence across Asia, the Middle East and North America.
The 2027 calendar now reads Dubai on April 21-22 (the edition postponed from April 2026 because of regional instability), New York on June 16-17, and Singapore in October. At 15,000 expected attendees, New York is pitched at roughly the size Dubai drew in 2025 and below the 25,000 that Singapore is hosting at Marina Bay Sands this week.
What has and has not been announced
The release confirms the dates, the attendance target, the US$599 ticket price and the plan for a citywide TOKEN2049 Week of side events beyond the two-day conference. It does not name a venue, a speaker lineup, sponsors or the programme tracks.
Reaction from the US side of the industry was quick. Bankless co-founder David Hoffman posted on X that New York can finally have a large, central crypto conference again, a sentiment echoed by founders who welcomed skipping the long-haul flight to Asia.
Why New York, and why now
The move puts the world’s biggest crypto conference brand in the same city as the exchanges, banks and asset managers that now run spot crypto ETFs, tokenized funds and stablecoin rails. US policy has turned markedly friendlier to the industry since 2025, and much of the institutional programming at Singapore this week, from stablecoins to tokenized assets, centres on American financial infrastructure.
The CCS read. TOKEN2049 bringing the full flagship format to New York says more about where crypto’s centre of gravity sits than any panel will. For years the largest gatherings happened in Singapore and Dubai partly because the US felt hostile to the industry. A permanent New York stop is a bet that the institutional buyers, issuers and regulators the industry now needs are in Manhattan, and that a June date can anchor the US calendar the way October anchors Asia. The open question is execution: venue size, a speaker roster that pulls in TradFi rather than just crypto natives, and whether TOKEN2049 Week can match the side-event density that makes Singapore worth the trip.
Watch for the venue and first speaker wave, and for how other US events reposition around a mid-June TOKEN2049 date.
